About me
I’m Findlay.
I’m an experienced, COSCA-registered counsellor working with children and young people.
I’ve been counselling children and young people since 2013. I’m based in Edinburgh and work with clients across central Scotland and beyond.
Using a range of therapeutic approaches, I aim to build healing relationships with children and young people based on trust, openness and understanding.
My background
I have an MA (Hons) from the University of Glasgow, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (Primary Teaching) from the University of Edinburgh and a Diploma in Counselling (Children and Young People) from Queen Margaret University. I undertake regular clinical supervision and I’m a Counsellor Member of the COSCA Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in a variety of roles in childcare, education, and family support.
I live with my wife and our two young children in south west Edinburgh where, if you’re lucky, you just might spot a kingfisher.
“Findlay has built excellent relationships with the young people he works with. He is incredibly professional and knowledgeable and has made a very positive impact.”
